Invenco, a global provider of revolutionary self-service payment technology and secure customer engagement solutions, has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 Certification for quality management. Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the certification is “based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement” according to ISO.org.
Invenco was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification in December 2019. The certification process began with Invenco’s Operations Team examining, updating and aligning processes across the business, followed by an independent external audit by an ISO 9001 QMS Certification Body. While many companies spend years working towards aligning their people, processes and principles to achieve the certification, the effort was completed at Invenco in ten months.
To earn ISO 9001: 2015 certification, companies must prove that they function in alignment with seven principles developed by international experts of quality management standards which are customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making and relationship management.
According to Divend Singh, Invenco Quality Manager, “this was a major business project that identified over fifty-five core processes that were documented, implemented and internally audited in preparation for QMS Certification”. Singh added, “it was challenging to align processes to value streams surrounding hardware, software, firmware and cloud services, all of which are required to meet the rigorous security and regulatory requirements of the industry”.
For Invenco, it is important that customers and industry peers are aware of the importance the company puts on providing products and services that meet customer, quality and regulatory requirements. According to Chief Executive Officer, John Scott, “Invenco’s ISO 9001:2015 Certification will further enhance the systems and processes surrounding the effective management of our products and services. We look forward to seeing the impact these company-wide changes will have on our current and future customers and to build and improve on this current state.”
