Invenco was awarded the contract to equip 44 Foodstuffs sites in March 2012 with the rollout commencing in November 2012 and being completed in June 2013. Fred Noyce, Invenco Business Development Manager says “The project has been a great example of two Kiwi companies working together to deliver an outstanding and innovative solution.
The petrol stations are operated as un-attended fueling sites with an average of four pumps on each site. Each pump is equipped with two G6 Outdoor Payment Terminals (G6 OPTs), supported by Invenco’s fuel pricing and retail stock management system. The G6 OPTs are also fully integrated to Paymark - New Zealand’s largest electronic transaction processor- and to on-site banknote acceptors, enabling customers to pay by credit or debit card, Mobil fleet card or physical cash.
In addition, customers can redeem discount fuel vouchers earned through shopping at participating PAK’n’SAVE and New World supermarkets. Foodstuffs Fuel Vouchers are designed to drive customers to use Foodstuffs’ fuel forecourts by offering a cents per litre discount off the price of fuel as a reward for spending in store. The customer can simply scan their barcoded voucher at the G6 OPT and the voucher is authenticated online via Foodstuff’s new Fuel Rebate Management System (FRMS).
The discount is then automatically calculated and applied to the customer’s fuel purchase. This fully automated solution allows Foodstuffs to effectively manage their discount fuel offering and protects against fraudulent voucher use.
Mr David Parke of Foodstuff’s says “Invenco is a great solution for our fuel sites nationwide. Their new systems improved our reliability and it has proven to be popular with our customers. We are pleased with the overall outcome. We are a proud New Zealand company and so it gives us great pleasure to work with another New Zealand organization like Invenco to bring this innovative solution to market.
