Invenco, a global provider of revolutionary self-service payment technology and secure customer engagement solutions, has achieved Common.SECC certification for their G6-300 Outdoor Payment Terminal (OPT). With the certification, the Invenco G6-300 OPT has met the payment industries’ highest levels of security compliance in the German and UK markets, where Common.SECC requirements are developed and accredited.
Common.SECC standards are difficult to achieve and certification is infrequently earned by outdoor payment terminal product offerings in the global retail fuel market. Paul Blacquiere, Senior Architect of Invenco’s Software Development team, explained “with our legacy all-in-one OPT (the G6-100 OPT) it took us 12 months to achieve Common.SECC certification. Keeping that in mind, the G6-300 OPT was designed to comply with Common.SECC, PCI, EMV and additional payment security standards from the start”. As a result, the G6-300 OPT completed the Common.SECC evaluation and certification in 12 weeks.
There are over 10,000 Invenco G6 OPTs currently installed in the UK market across a growing customer base. Features like magnetic stripe, chip, and contactless payment, color touch screen, 2D barcode reader, inbuilt printer, and cloud-connected remote management services have made Invenco the leading OPT provider in the territory. Their model upgrades the pay-at-pump experience at less cost to the operator by retrofitting into a site’s existing fuel dispensers. John Scott, Invenco CEO, notes “A positive and secure customer experience has always been a priority when developing Invenco’s OPT offerings. The Common.SECC certification is an added step forward in ensuring that the G6-300 OPT continues to lead the industry in customer security standards and fraud protection at the pump”.
